I can't beleive how long its been since I posted anything.

In the mean time I actually won a trophy at the Brunei Bike Week!!

IS a beautiful thanks to the IMG for organising the event.

Too long since I have posted anything, but wanted to keep things going until I got some new pictures.

However, wanted to install new part first:

Chrome Calipers
Air intakre cover
Chrome Rear Master cylinder

These are now done, just need to go and pick up the bike and take pictures at a suitable location...

Any female volunteers for posing as a model???

Wheels and Bags

I also now have installed the spacers so the Solo bag is no longer rubbing against the frame. The stand off appears to be a bit big, will have to see how it handles...

(the discolouring on the bag is due to it being washed last week by the stealership :-(

Chrome Wheels

here is my new 21" front wheel, freshly arrived and unpacked!

The HD dealer also informed me that the chrome rear wheel has arrived, so hopefully over the next week new wheels installed!!!

Waiting for my new wheels to arrive, a 21" replica wheel from Paul Yoffe in chrome and the chrome rear wheel for the Rocker from Harley.

They will be dressed in Avon Venom/Cobra tyres!!!

In the mean time playing with the idea to upgrade myself:

Will be looking at a divorce probably if I do this...

Air Suspension installed!

So it has been a while, but finally got the air suspension installed. While waiting for the bracket I had a brainwave and decided to install the switches on the handle bars using the Aux switch housing from HD. Easy to reach and looks OK to (note to self: take a picture of the handlebars....)

So after borrowing a bike lift managed to get the air suspesnion from Shot gun (JD Braun) on. This is the end result:

Some installation shots, the relay was mounted on the right side of the gearbox, on "spare" 5/16 hole:

View from below, the black box is the airshocks themselves, you can see the air line on the right, which comes from the compressor:

The compressor is just visible in fron of the rear fender, mounted below the transfer case:

SO drove over to the dealer and they kindly removed my front fender, so I could fit my new one, the fender is the 21" Rocker fender from Heartland Biker:

I also used photoshop to make this one, kinda neat huh!

You can see the numberplate holder here in its vertical position, it can also swing around to horizontal, made by Top Down products

New Front Fender

My new fender from Heartland Bikes in California, painted by Rashid Apong.

Fitting failed sofar as I am stuped by a torx head that I can't get decent access to. Even had a tool made by Mark but alas this is what happened to the tool:

That torx head is well and truly sealed!

Did receive the new clamp from top down products! Number plate remounted, excellent customer service of these guys!

Raised Suspension

So while waiting for the new bracket from Topdown Products I raised my suspension again to prevent the wheel slapping the fender.

Of the bike there is a bit of a gap, but riding is sooo much better, not having to worry about smacked in the back side at very dent in the road.

Top Down Products is progressing with the bracket, so hopefully with in the next few weeks (5 incl shipping) I fiannly may have the Shotguns installed....

Bike Detailing

Spend Saturday most of the day cleaning the bike, very needed as I had not been able to do so since mid Dec (ohoh!).

Found lost of little specs of rust and chrome flaking of (mostly on the aftermarket stuff). Very frustrating to see all this "damage"

Serioulsy considering building an airconditioned shed now.

Protective eye wear

So, recently (well actually last summer) got myself a pair of these:

The are Wraptors (duh) made by Gatorz (http://www.gatorz.com/). I am properly impressed with these. Because they are thin, they easily slide under a helmet, they are close fitting, so no wind blows across my eyes. I used to get gritty eyes from wind in the eys, but that is no more!

As I need glasses for reading, I am going to try and get these in corrective lenses...

So Hell Bent Kustoms got my money and is refusing to stand behind their product and services. They even accuse me of not providing all the information and that it is my fault that they mis manufactured the bracket.

They offered me a stainless steel replacement but even polished that woulld stick out against the chrome or I could get 20.50GBP back as "compensation" out of the 100.50GBP is paid them.

I turned everything down, if companies are even refusing to admit liability for their mistakes (all data was provided!!!) then there is no point even discussing solutions.

My advise:

DON"T have anything custom made by Hell bent Kustoms!!!

So I got the bracket in for mounting the switches, but the manufacturer read the thickness wrong.

Now have to "discuss" with him to make the replacement....

Why don't people check when something is not clear!????

Got my Air operated shocks from Shotgun shocks recently. Currently working on the design of a bracket, so I can mount the switches near the seat:

Design is made with Google sketchup so I can see the layout. Probably should buy the Pro version to generate decent drawings.

Design has been sent to HellBent Kustom for fabrication and chroming.

So it had gone to the painter and I am busy installing the wiring (apologies for the out of focus, using my iPhone!). On the bottom you can see the LEDs from Radiantz being cut up and re-soldered to allow for the vertical curve.

On the top preparing the Badlands intensifier and Badlands Rocker controller for wiring up.

So the welder had been add it and welded in the tube and "ears".

You can see that he did not do a very good job, so it had to be done again.

This took another few weeks, however I got it back with the light centered as expected.

In the Netherlands a centre brake light is required and brake or running lights are not to be combined in to one.

To allow the use of the Heartland kit I had to modify the fender to be able to add a LED strip to be used as running light and brake light, which are allowed to be combined.
